No other bag in my closet stands a chance.

Hi Geezers!

Some of you may remember I did a little shopping event at Hyer Goods in December. Hyer Goods saves luxury leather scraps from heading to the landfill and repurposes them into new accessories. Over the years, founder Dana Cohen has experimented with various quality levels of leather and has recently entered into her Italian leather era, working with brands that may rhyme with Palentino and Permés and (Stanley) Tucci to offload their leftovers and recycle them into some of the most beautiful bags. I have…too many of their bags to count.

But. Change is coming, and you need to know about it.

TLDR: Shop now, because tariffs mean prices are rising, and Hyer Goods put out a statement on Friday that said theirs would be going up 20% after April 14. If you’ve been eyeing their wares, I can assure you that a sale is not coming and you have a week to take advantage of the current price.

Some of you might remember I talked about this bag from Hyer Goods during Serena and Caroline’s Favorite Things live show back in November.

I bought it full-price (not gifted!) and immediately fell in love with it. I have the black leather with gold hardware, but also on offer is burgundy leather with gold hardware, and black leather with silver hardware. (Priced at $395 before the prices go up). In the last month, Hyer Goods released smaller versions of both!

First of all, it’s so spacious. I can fit my phone, wallet, Baggu bag, keys, Kindle AND iPad mini, lipstick, coin purse, and sunglass case inside of it, and there are two nice zipper pockets inside. The lining is cotton twill.

Second of all, The Ring Bag is 3 bags in one, and uses the rings on the bag to connect to rings on the (two included!) straps to go from crossbody to shoulder to clutch.

It’s perfect for daily dog park use, walking around the city, and heading out for a day trip. It can also be a good evening option when you remove the straps and click the two attached rings together.

My favorite hack is using it at the airport as my secret third carry-on item. Stuff it with your must-haves, put it on, and wear it under your jacket as you roll your suitcase and backpack onto the plane. THEY DON’T SAY ANYTHING.

Despite having a closet full of bags, I’ve basically only used The Ring Bag since I got it in October with one or two exceptions. Because it’s such high quality leather, it’s going to age extremely well. I love a bag that patinas nicely. It means I’m not afraid to use it.

It’s also super comfortable to wear, with the option of using the second shorter strap as an extender with the crossbody strap if you want the bag to sit lower on your body.
