and i’m your host, caroline moss

Gee Thanks! was born after I started tweeting about my weird but great Amazon finds and purchases in the summer of 2019. I launched the show on Black Friday 2019 with a double episode premiere: Chef and cookbook author Alison Roman joined me to talk about her favorite dough scraper, and editor Meredith Haggerty spread the good word about AllBirds sneaks (especially for dads!).

And we were off!

Almost 200 episodes and countless recommendations later, Gee Thanks! has become a community-powered guide to what you should be buying and where you should be buying it. With thousands of Geezers sharing their finds and recs in the Facebook group (aka the nicest place on the internet), or hanging out over on the Gee Thanks! Instagram, the podcast has jumped out of the speakers and into your cart.

We’re here to make online (and IRL) shopping smarter and more fun for ourselves, and for you.

(Oh and a little about me: I have written five books (HEY LADIES!, and the “Work It, Girl!” kids books) and I cut my teeth at Business Insider, rising from a rookie tech reporter to a deputy editor in less than 2 years. After that I took some time off to write HEY LADIES! before heading to NBC where I served as the director of creative solutions for new digital IP and then to BuzzFeed where I worked to launch their successful slate of digital news shows.

Fast forward a few years and I now run Gee Thanks! full-time and consult with small businesses on community building and management. I live in Brooklyn with my dog Lottie.

You can often (read: always) find me on the Gee Thanks! Insta and Facebook groups.

I can’t wait to shop with you!
