Gee Thanks! was born after I started tweeting about my weird Amazon finds and purchases in Summer 2019. I launched the show on Black Friday 2019 with a double episode premiere: Chef and cookbook author Alison Roman joined me to talk about her favorite dough scraper, and editor Meredith Haggerty spread the good word about AllBirds sneaks (especially for dads!).

And we were off!

Almost 100 episodes and countless recommendations later, Gee Thanks! has become a community-powered guide to what you should be buying and where you should be buying it. With tens of thousands of listeners tuning in each week, sharing their finds and recs in the Facebook group, or hanging out over on the Gee Thanks! Instagram, the podcast has jumped out of the speakers and into your cart. We’re here to make shopping smarter and more fun for ourselves, and for you.

New episodes drop every Friday wherever you listen to podcasts.

(Oh and a little about me: I have written five books (HEY LADIES!, and the “Work It, Girl!” kids books), and I describe myself a freelance producer and writer. I cut my teeth at Business Insider, rising from super green rookie reporter to deputy editor in less than 3 years. After that I took some time off to write HEY LADIES! before heading to NBCU where I served as the director of creative solutions for new digital IP and then to BuzzFeed where I worked to launch their internal digital news shows.

I lived in Brooklyn for ten years before moving to Los Angeles with my husband Dan, cats Kevin (pictured above) and Steve, and dog Lottie. I was supposed to spend 2020 writing a new book but then there was a pandemic and I just absolutely could not!!!!!)

You can often (always) find me on the Gee Thanks! insta and Facebook groups.

I can’t wait to shop with you!
